The Social Carbon Foundation is proud to announce the launch of a public consultation for its latest innovation: the SOCIALCARBON Module for eddy covariance-based continuous quantification of greenhouse gas (GHG) fluxes. This pioneering module introduces a high-frequency, atmospheric-based monitoring approach, offering a more accurate, transparent, and scalable way to measure emissions and removals in carbon projects.

The SOCIALCARBON Module harnesses the eddy covariance technique, a scientifically recognized method for measuring real-time net GHG fluxes between the terrestrial surface and the atmosphere. By providing continuous, high-resolution data, this approach enhances the credibility of carbon projects and enables more precise verification of emissions reductions and removals.

A Collaborative Effort for Climate Integrity

The development of this module has been a collaborative effort, and the Social Carbon Foundation extends its gratitude to Hyphen Global AG for their expertise and partnership in co-developing this important module. By working alongside technical experts, carbon market leaders, and project developers, the module ensures alignment with global best practices in carbon measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV).
